Subject: Rep. Fulcher proposal to transfer federal lands to states
Synopsis: Representative Fulcher announced a tour of Idaho to speak with elected officials about his proposal to transfer federal public lands to the states. PCTU expressed concerns about transferred lands eventually being sold by the state and/or not being managed for multiple uses. PCTU letter also points to the fact that states would have to shoulder the entire burden in terms of costs and personnel to manage transferred lands which currently make up over 60% of Idaho’s land mass.
